Randy Hillier Announces He's Running for MPP

Wednesday, February 7, 2007

Lanark County - Randy Hillier (past president & co-founder of the Lanark & Ontario Landowners' Association) is seeking the Ontario Progressive Conservative nomination in the upcoming provincial election for the new riding of Lanark, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (LFLA).

After much encouragement from, and significant discussions with many federal and provincial members of the legislature, municipal mayors, councillors, and overwhelming public support, Hillier said "it is time to bring our strong rural voices directly to Queens Park."

"The people of LFLA deserve a representative who will fight to restore Justice, prosperity and freedom to rural Ontario." continued Hillier.

Though Hillier seeks to represent the people of LFLA, it is abundantly clear that his constituency is broad based and encompasses all of rural Ontario. In addition, Hillier has long advocated for the removal of excessive legislation and intrusive regulations that provide little or no value to society and blurs the distinction between private property and public responsibility.

As MPP Hillier said he will work on "The freedom to own, use, enjoy, and the opportunity to earn a living from one's own private property; and that this freedom cannot be infringed upon for the public good without full, fair, and timely compensation"
